Report on April 2010 medical trip to La Colline

July 16.—We invite you to explore our report on the medical trip to La Colline in April 2010. We delivered medical care to 209 Haitians, taught 44 young adults a Public Health Assistant class, and began two deworming programs for schoolchildren.

You can view the report at

Crucial medicines and other medical supplies were donated by CrossLink International, International Action, and students at Briggs Chaney Middle School in Silver Spring, Md. We also thank all our other supporters and donors.

Much of the success of the trip was due to the volunteer nature of UPLIFT Haiti. Team members contributed their own resources to cover travel and lodging expenses. In the business world, these items would be classified as project overhead.

We saw despair in the eyes of many people in Haiti. But we made a difference in the lives of those we visited. The people of Haiti have not given up on their country. We will not give up either.

UPLIFT Haiti, a Section 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charity, organizes teams of volunteers to travel to Haiti to work with local communities in accomplishing sustainable projects for improving health, education, employment, and the local economy and infrastructure.
