A Celebration of Service

Last week, Sister Marie Judith Prophète of Baradères celebrated 25 years with the community of the Little Sisters of St. Thérèse.
She and the other sisters honored at the event managed to travel safely to and from Port-au-Prince despite widespread control of the roads by violent gangs.
That is at least a minor miracle! (This week, the entire country is on lockdown.)
In Baradères, Sr. Judith administers the area’s only public health institution and only vocational school. UPLIFT Haiti has helped support both institutions since 2009, but Sr. Judith is the glue that holds everything together.
We are very grateful to her for everything that she does to help the people of Baradères.
